Philip DeBerard, IV, son of civil trial lawyer Philip DeBerard, III, has had the unique opportunity to watch his father develop his small personal injury practice into the established and reputable local firm it is today.
By working with his father at The Law Offices of Philip DeBerard, Philip IV aims to build on his expertise of criminal law and resolve cases involving personal injury, crimes and business disputes.
Philip IV was born and raised in Stuart, Florida. He graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, and then earned his Master of Business Administration Degree from Stetston University. Later, Philip graduated from the Stetson University College of Law with a Juris Doctorate Degree.
Before joining his father’s firm, Philip was Martin County’s Assistant Public Defender, representing indigent clients in numerous kinds of criminal cases. His extensive experience ranges from legal research, factual investigations and plea negotiations to jury trials, motion practice, appeals, and sentencing.
In his spare time, Philip enjoys fishing and boating along the Treasure Coast. He enjoys SEC football and all Gator sports, and is a proud member of Gator Nation.
Philip is a licensed independent Insurance Adjuster who is admitted to practice law in all Florida state courts and is accredited for Veteran’s Affairs representation. He is also affiliated with the Martin County Bar Association and Florida Justice Association, and is a board member of the Young Professionals of Martin County.
